SEM Fire and Rescue specialises in the design, manufacture and service of special purpose vehicles for the Australian and export markets. 

SEM Fire and Rescue is Australia’s largest manufacturer of quality emergency services vehicles.  It has over 50 years experience in the market, having originated from the manufacturing division of one of Australia’s largest fire brigades, the Victorian County Fire Authority. 

SEM Fire and Rescue supplies innovative vehicles to fire brigades and many other emergency services and private customers. 

With a professional team of design engineers and technical support staff, it enables us to design and produce quality vehicles and equipment which specifically suit our client’s exact specifications.

In April 2008, SEM Fire and Rescue was acquired from the SKILLED Group by a consortium arranged by Turnberry Funds Management.  The new shareholders intend to invest additional capital in the business to expand its operations, provide greater employment opportunities in the Ballarat region and enhance vehicle manufacturing operations.  A new CEO, Malcolm Flanagan, who is also a foundation investor in the business, has been appointed.
